I guess I should jump in.

I used to be Taqiyyotomist, online, in forums.  I’ve posted on many forums using that nic — mostly honorably, sometimes, as is human, without honor… but always honestly — starting shortly after 9/11/2001 on a site called LGF.  I’ve been interacting on many of my favorite forums for years, mostly as Taqiyyotomist, no matter where I commented.  JDR is my nic lately, as I failed in my duties as someone who “surgically cuts out taqiyya”, as I reasoned when I coined the word.  I didn’t cut out a single bit of the taqiyya.  Okay, I did.  I changed the mind and outlook of one person I know, who now peruses the same sources I do, and disdains the so-called MSM with almost as much passion as I do, and sees behind the veil more than most people I know.

I’ve been commenting online for more than ten years, and learning, and reading, and all just as a hobby, or maybe an OCD about wanting to know what’s going on.

In my forty-one years of life, I’ve converted one person away from television and its lies, and turned them on to actually using this incredible resource, the internet, to EDUCATE THEMSELVES, instead of being told what’s what by their favorite TV, movie, and recording stars.

This blogging thing is new, but it isn’t.  I’ll figure out the basics.

Gateway Pundit: Jim Hoft, you are an inspiration.

Michelle Malkin, you are an inspiration.

The proprietors of, and contributors to, and commenters thereon, and fans thereof, of Legal Insurrection, Doug Ross, Ace of Spades HQ, Kevin Jackson, Vox Day, Conservative Treehouse, Flopping Aces, Alfonzo Rachel, Pajamas Media,  Mychal Massie… you are all inspiration.

Babbazee you are an inspiration.  What?

Ann Barnhardt.  My God.  My dear, sweet God, you are an inspiration.  And allowing comments isn’t allowing Narcissism.  Question: Is posting a self-taken picture of your (admittedly sweet) face at the arguably less beautiful (because this place is not human, but only human-made)  Domine Quo Vadis, while not allowing comments  “Narcissism”?  After bragging about getting to go there?

I don’t also have an arsenal “bigger than that of France”.  So I won’t be posting my home address.   Ann, you are loved by more men who love God than you know.  Don’t let it go to your head.

Pat Condell.  Ditto, (quite frankly) and wake up to His reality.  Freakin’ PRAY for an awakening, man.  You’re smarter than that.  Seek. Knock.  All that.  It’s true.

It will take a while, but I’ll figure it out, this blogging thing.  I need to get me some pajamas.

[Re: Starting this whole blog out right.]

Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

Damn my nature. Ann, a question:  Isn’t it human nature? Start a blog with “hey, folks, here’s all about ME!”.

Did you do that when you started your site, barnhardt.biz ?

I guess you would have to, when you are the product you market.  I don’t mean that in an insulting way at ALL, Ann.  I understand capitalism — not to the degree where I can understand 97% of what is discussed in the Market Ticker’s threads, although I still stumble my way through them… and I certainly understand the reactions in the COMMENTS SECTION (ahem…) by people who obviously DO understand the meat of the posts.

I read Volokh, and the comments.  Same with Vox Day.  Why?  I’m not a lawyer.  I’m not a commodities trader.  I’m not a Science-fiction/Fantasy author.

Why would I do these things?  To learn, right?  If you had a comments section on your site, Ann… yeeks.  And if you yourself engaged your commenters… YIKES.  The education that would be had by all — not just those who comment, but by the exponentially greater number of people who simply read the threads.
